Marne Clay Shoot News Article     28-06-2021

June 27th Results

Even with the current covid restrictions in place we had 111 entries on the main shoot and some good shooting from all. The scores are now up.

Granddad's shield was won by Bob McAlpine with an excellent score of 72.

There were also many cartridges emptied into the air on the pool shoot, that being taken with an early and excellent score from Scott Emerson missing just one of those long long loopers.

Also drawn today was the first of the big raffles for a day of driven pheasant shooting at West Applegarth chaperoned by me. That has gone to a lucky John Shaw who gets to spend a full day with me!
More importantly for hitting the big £100k, that raffle actually raised £775 for charity. Give yourselves a big pat on the back you generous lot!

We've still got some maths to do to work out what the shoot today has raised but it'll all go to a good cause. We're at over £95k raised now and within spitting distance of target!

I hope you all enjoyed the targets today and that you
